The American Job Center is where people and jobs connect. We are a dynamic partnership of public and private resources supporting economic development and providing workforce solutions to businesses and individuals in Southeast Tennessee and beyond.

We want Southeast Tennessee to be the kind of place where our citizens are prepared to compete for tomorrow's good jobs, and where businesses will want to locate and expand, knowing that the smart, skilled, capable workforce they need can be found here.

Our AJCs offer career and training services for Adults, Dislocated Workers and Youth, Adult Education and Literacy programs that lead to attainment of a high school equivalency diploma, basic skills upgrades, or English language acquisition, job search assistance, job referral and placement, services for employers, programs providing employment and training for individuals with disability, and many more.

The American Job Center is an access point for the unemployment claims system, but we do not have unemployment claims representatives in our centers.  To file an unemployment claim, go to  Jobs4tn.gov.

If you have any questions pertaining to your claim, please contact the help line at 877-813-0950.

Need to submit a support ticket for your unemployment claim? Visit https://tdlwd.zendesk.com. This link will allow you to create an email request ticket, to correspond with an agent regarding any inquiries that you may have. An agent will respond within 48-72 hours of the ticket being submitted.

All AJC Staff are trained to provide assistance by supporting self-service efforts when filing claims online and entering weekly certifications on Jobs4TN.gov, or by phone. Staff will also assist customers with creating help desk tickets, uploading requested documents to Jobs4TN, and referring customers to other available services as needed.
